Visit an under-birded forest preserve that can be very productive during migration.
We’ll look for remnant wintering species and early spring migrants, possibly Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, Eastern Phoebes, kinglets, Fox Sparrows and Yellow-rumped Warblers.
Be prepared for muddy conditions.
Park at the easternmost end of the parking area, east side of Mannheim Rd. between Cermak and 31st.
Entrance is just south of the bridge over Salt Creek.
