Summer Bird Walk at Washington Park

Join us for a Saturday morning bird walk in the Hyde Park neighborhood’s “under-birded” Washington Park!

Designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Washington Park contains diverse ecosystem types: its north loop is an open field surrounded by woodlands, and the south loop hosts both lagoon and woodland habitat.

In mid-late summer at this location we can expect to see and hear a variety of resident birds, including flycatchers, woodpeckers and herons. We invite folks of all backgrounds and experience levels to join us!
