Join our Flock - Communications Volunteers Needed

Did you know you can help birds and conservation with your communication or computer skills? Join our team and find out more!

Chicago Audubon has a fun and creative communication team. Some team members are moving on, so we are looking for two more volunteers to help us spread the word on our news, events and other communications. We are a diverse and a welcoming group. We work remotely, collaboratively, and very flexibly. It’s a great opportunity if you’d like to learn more about birds and local conservation, and you want to be part of a group that shares your passion. From a few hours a week to a few hours a month, we are fairly flexible with time commitments.

Here’s a brief overview of what we are looking for:

Webmaster (1-3 hrs per week)

  • Upload blog posts, events and coordinate work between writers and editors and social media team.

  • Experience with Squarespace or other website platforms helpful but more important is a willingness to learn new technical skills. We’ll train you and support you!

Editor/Proofreader (5-8 hrs per month)

  • Proofread and edit articles, blog posts and email newsletters

  • An eye for detail is important, and familiarity with Google workspace helps but more important is a willingness to learn. We’ll train you and support you!

We’d love to chat with you if you have any interest in helping Chicago Audubon fulfill its mission of connecting birds and people.

Please send an email with a little about your background and why you are interested:
