Your help needed: Chicago's bird collision art project

Above: Dave Willard and Holly Greenberg inspect some of the bird replicas made for this project.

In an effort to raise awareness about one of the leading causes of bird deaths, Chicago Bird Alliance will work with artis Holly Greenberg to create a β€œcarpet” of birds running over 300 feet in length. Using upcycled cloth and donated materials to create the birds, we invite (implore? okay, beg, we have a lot of birds to make!) citizens to help with the project through public workshops.

Understanding how you can protect your home from bird-window collisions is paramount to the project, which is why teaching about how to identify and modify your problematic windows is at the forefront of our mission. Please attend one of the workshops below to create a bird, and, if you like, learn how to make your windows safe for birds.
