Shrub Scavenger Hunt - come out this Saturday and Saturday, July 6 to help us find and tag our local native shrubs in a prairie/shrub remnant. We are looking to improve the habitat of shrubland birds by eventually removing the non native shrubs to allow the natives to expand. The actual hands-on cutting will happen in the dormant season.

Camp Pine contains a wide variety of natural areas, including sedge meadow, savanna, swamp white oak flatwoods, upland oak-hickory woodlands, and oak-maple forests. Join us as we monitor and restore this site.

Dress for the weather. 

Wear long pants and sturdy shoes or boots. 

It's recommended to bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and a hat during spring and summer. 

It is not necessary to pre-register, but if you plan to bring a group of 5 or more, please let the steward know ahead of time.
