Join CAS for an early evening woodcock search at Dam No. 4. With luck, we’ll watch the enchanting sky dance of these giant-bumblebee-shaped birds.

On this outing we will try to sneak up on some displaying woodcock in a woodland opening. You can stay on the trail or you might want to wade into the grass for a better view. We will be staying still waiting for the birds to display - so dress warm. Boots are a good idea.

Time: 7:00PM – 8:30PM

Meeting Spot: We will meet on the North side of Devon on Seminary Ave and cross Devon into the preserve as a group. Parking is available on S. Seminary Avenue north of Devon.

Accessibility: This trip involves crossing a busy street and then walking a short distance on a primitive footpath.
