Join us for an outing at Orland Grassland, a special site undergoing a long-term restoration effort led by the Cook County Forest Preserve District. Orland contains over 750 acres of prairie that provide needed habitat for many birds of concern.
On Sunday we will be looking for breeding grassland birds, with targets including bobolink, Henslow’s sparrow, dickcissel, Eastern meadowlark, yellow-breasted chat and Bell’s vireo.
Meeting location: Please plan to meet in the north parking lot. The trip leader will confirm meeting location with registered attendees the day prior.
Trip Leader: Ian Sarmiento
Limit: 12 participants; registration is required.
