At just nearly 2 weeks old, Monty & Rose’s Piping Plover chicks are growing fast and becoming more independent as they explore their new world. They skitter across the sand very quickly, still unable to fly, and still under the very protective care of their parents.

Bird Haven LaBagh Woods Restoration - In The News
Located on the Northwest side of Chicago, LaBagh Woods has begun its restoration work for this year. Despite the on-going pandemic and the shelter-in-place order, volunteers are enthusiastic about restoring this iconic acre of land for the migratory birds this summer.

EBird recently created some fascinating new animations that display animated visualizations of bird migrations across continents, combining observations for 610 species in North America, submitted by nearly 200,000 bird watchers. We used this as an excuse to reach out to some local bird experts for their observations.
