The focus of the pilot program is to measure the efficacy of Wisdom GoodBites’ contraceptive pellets in an urban environment. This will be conducted by comparing rat activity on blocks containing GoodBites feeding stations and on blocks without feeding stations.

We will use specialized cameras to monitor rats over a 12-month period. It will take about 2 – 3 months for the contraceptive to reduce the number of rats, and we want to ensure that a decrease in rats is sustained over a long period across seasons.

We expect to see a decrease in rats, particularly a decrease in younger rats, on the blocks treated with GoodBites pellets compared to the reference blocks.
