Bird Walk at Cap Sauers Holding Nature Preserve

Located near Palos Park, Cap Sauers is a well-known birding spot featuring wooded bluffs and ravines, wetlands and prairie openings. On this trip we will target some of the more uncommon breeding birds in Cook County, such as Hooded Warbler, Summer Tanager, Black-billed Cuckoo and possibly even Veery.

Weather considerations: Be prepared for hot and humid weather. Bring boots if it rained recently.

Parking: Gravel parking along the side of Ford Road. Please note that the parking area is small and could possibly be missed when going down Ford Road. Trails could possibly be muddy.
