RiverLab: Birding the Chicago River By Canoe

Join us for our Early Morning Birding Paddle on the Chicago River, where we will be accompanied by Matt Igleski from the Chicago Bird Alliance. The purpose of this canoe trip will be to observe the birds that call the Chicago River home. We will provide waterproof field guides and binoculars, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Cameras are welcome, but we are unable to ensure the safety of any equipment you choose to bring. Remember to wear comfortable clothing, and to bring water and sunscreen. Your registration fee covers rental of all equipment plus instruction. Based at the River Park Boathouse, the Chicago Park District's RiverLab program is a series of educational events and activities dedicated to reconnecting residents of Chicago with their river.
