A final decision on the Carvana car automat may come Monday, February 7 at 8 pm from the Skokie Board of Trustees. Carvana is a 13-story glass 'car vending machine' planned directly across the street from Harms Woods on the Chicago River, and important refuge for many migrating birds.

The February 7 meeting is in-person at the Village Hall, 5127 Oakton Street, Skokie. Agenda should be posted HERE.

Ways to engage:

In-Person. Attend the meeting at 8pm February 7 (arrive a bit earlier to be sure to get in). Email in advance HERE for updates on the meeting;
Outdoors. Meet at 7pm at the Village Hall to demonstrate opposition to the tower, as village trustees arrive; and/or
Virtual. Tune in online HERE to demonstrate interest. The Board will be informed how many are watching online.

This is a great time to send a note to the commissioners or sign the petition, if you haven’t done so.
