Hello everyone,
The highlight of our morning was an excellent look at a gorgeous male American Kestrel. He was first spotted on the Island and he acted like a super model perching and posing for us. He even turned to make sure that we saw all of his colorful plumage. We were entranced.
Our Common Merganser pair was in the east lagoon again this week along with Red-breasted Mergansers and a few Common Goldeneye. We also had an immature male Common Goldeneye in the marina. Rob really wanted to see a Nuthatch today and three White-breasted Nuthatches and a few Downy Woodpeckers fulfilled his order and put on a show for us in the oak grove behind the museum.
