Photo: Bufflehead by Mick Thompson
Hello everyone,
The lagoons were frozen so we didn’t have our usual flock of waterfowl, with just Mallards and Canada Geese present, but it was a good day anyway. The surprise of the day was a Brown Creeper, a bird that we don’t expect to see this time of year. We also had more Robins than we have in recent weeks. Maybe this means that Spring will arrive early?
Both raccoon holes were occupied and their residents were fast asleep. We could see a cute ear sticking up in one of the holes – see Eric’s photo. Our resident male American Kestrel was present and we ooo’d and ahhh’d over him as usual, and as he expects.
