Hello everyone,
Twelve hardy birders braved the cold temperatures for this week’s walk. It was another slow day where we were desperate enough to chase down some house sparrows that we could hear but not see. However, we managed to achieve our goal of having more bird species than birders!
A very large Red-tailed hawk was a nice find as was a tree full of chickadees. They are such a cheerful sight. The Cardinals were looking especially beautiful with their bright red feathers against the drab winter landscape. Let’s hope Spring arrives soon.
