Hello everyone,
It was a bit chilly at the start but we had a lovely winter morning with plenty of bright sunshine and a feeling of spring in the air. The birds could feel it too. We had our first Red-winged Blackbirds of the season and they were calling to us, announcing their return. The resident Northern Cardinals were singing, not calling, which is a sure sign of spring and my favorite sound this time of year. There were a lot of American Robins about; the most we’ve seen in a long time. Spring migration will be here before we know it!
