Join CBA for an afternoon bird outing at Lincoln Park Zoo. We will be searching for migratory bird species warblers and sparrows. Then, we will visit the Black-crowned Night Heron breeding colony where–at this time of year–the nests are well-occupied by nesting pairs in the dozens. All ages–including families–and experience levels are welcome to attend. This trip is designed to be a slow-paced, social bird outing.
We’ll walk roughly 1.5 miles on paved, asphalt paths. We may traverse on natural dirt and/or grass to get better views of birds. There are no trail obstacles. Dress for the weather. Restrooms and water fountains are available in the zoo. Cell reception is regularly available.
Registration is required and capped at 15 individuals. More details will be provided to registered attendees ahead of the trip if/as needed.
