Hello everyone,
It was another slow late winter morning, but we still ended up with a couple nice sightings. Much of the water in the lagoons was open so we had some Goldeneye and Red-breasted Mergansers for the first time in a while. Red-winged Blackbirds are back, a sure sign that spring is approaching. And we had some very nice looks at our resident juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk.
Did you know that Canada Geese have a serrated tongue? Neither did I until Paul told me and took a great closeup photo to confirm this interesting fact!
