Join us for a hike and volunteer day co-hosted by Xochitl Lopez of Friends of the Forest Preserves, and Raquel García-Álvarez of the Forest Preserves of Cook County. We will start with a relaxing forest therapy hike, then learn about the plants found on site, and finish by restoring the woodland by removing invasive brush. The event will be led in both English and Spanish.

Spring Bird Count 2019

Last year, 181 participants in the Cook County portion of the Illinois Spring Bird Count found 208 species, one off the county record of 209, set in 2015. This year’s count will be held on May 4th, and we certainly hope that a number of our Chicago Audubon members, and other local birders can take part again.
